PTV Training Academy 

The International Media Industry has grown in terms of programme software through dynamic entrepreneurial skills, but in Pakistan it has largely failed to make its place in qualitative terms due to lack of induction of potential professionals and proper training producers. The quality or programmes seems to be deteriorating in technical standards, creativity and effectiveness.

Untrained producers and technical hands without professional media training are exposing their levitations in sub-standard production. There is a big market waiting for opportunities of professional training through trained staff in the respective disciplines of media production and PTV Academy can play vital role in development and training of the masses backed by proper knowledge and expertise for a meaningful and sustainable growth, the training academy would focus determining the contour of viewers and audience expectations, training media specialists and establishing a high level media research center.

The future plans of training academy are:

• To establish archival department and collect the masterpieces of PTV Production from various stations.

• Capacity building of its own faculty and staff on regular basis through foreign media like BBC, CNN.

• Updating the technical infrastructure environment including computers, IT and new technology to be used during the training sessions.

• Open for private and public sector on commercial basis to cater the needs of private channels.
